Never ask a lady what her age is. It's Anna's birthday, and let's just end it with that. Happy Birthday!!!
She took a few days off from work. We didn't go anywhere to unwind nor ate at a fancy restaurant. We did have a few appointments, and one of them was to meet with our lender to look at a new house.
Yep, after years of waiting, we finally decided to look for one.

too bad
Borders filed for bankruptcy two months ago... and technology is to blame since most people would rather have their books digitally. It's sad that they had to go. One by one, their stores started to go on clearance and close down.
Although we got good deals on most books, we cant deny the fact that bookstores, similar to Borders, are becoming obsolete. Even though we have kindle and an Ipad, we still prefer the old fashion way of actually holding up a book to read.
Thousands of people are loosing their jobs left and right. It's a scary thought coming into reality. We heard the post is next in line. E-mail, e-cards, e-postcard. Go figure. Not to sound selfish or wish more people to get sick but we're just thankful we still have our jobs to keep.
Borders, you will be missed by me and family.

All grown up
My two other babies are on their adolescent stage now.
They got their much needed upgrade. Both got new lenses. A Sigma F2.8-4 for my Sony and a Sigma F2.8 for my Canon. And vertical grips for added battery life.
They both looked liked they're on steroids.I also added a Manfrotto 620b monopod and a Slik mini table top tripod.
I'm now planning to get 2 prime lens, maybe around the 105mm category.

cheap and tasty
Eating out should be easy. But in our case, we always find ourselves in a dilemma deciding where or what to eat. Sometimes too many choices or lack thereof. Home Town Buffet never came to mind. If it weren't for Onami being closed last night due to plumbing problems, we would have never gone.
Steak
Santee had a newly opened branch which happen to be a few blocks from where we're at. And since its almost 7pm, people started packing the place.
To my surprise, I've paid less than $40 for three adults (including drinks). Which would be close for just one person in Onami.
Pizza and Pasta
But then since this place was dirt cheap I thought I'm gonna what I paid for. To our surprise, the food was decent to good.
It did have it's downside but nothing major. The steak was a bit overcooked and roast was a bit dry. Everything else was okay.
